This is Tsega. Her name means Grace. We visited her twice a week because she had the best cheapest avocados in all the market and instead of charging us more because we were white she always gave us a free one! Our last time seeing her we were able to pray for her and her business.

These woman helped cook and clean for us while we were staying with the family. Here they are finishing up cleaning a chicken for our dinner. After they cut it’s throat they threw the yellow bucket over it to wait for it to die. They were fearless, this is common for woman to do instead of the men.

A few days in the month we taught English classes to our translators, contact and others part of the ministry. We focused on going through the alphabet, pronunciation and the “th” sound.

One day we had the chance to visit a youth club and educate about HIV/AIDS. We played foosball and pingpong with them before the rain came down and led us to cover all hunched together. We met a man who was in Med school (in English) and he helped us to translate the whole teaching, what a blessing!

We got a picture with our ministry contact and family on Ethiopian New Years. We sang songs at church and enjoyed fellowshipping with other Christians on a holiday that focuses on prayer for the new year looking forward to all the blessings that the Lord has for them to come.

My team was able to fundraise $165- to buy Bibles for the Hawassa community we were doing ministry this month. The pastor was very surprised and pleased to be able to bring those back for the members. Thank you to those who supported that!
