As I sit here in another hostel, on a couch used by many travelers, drinking yet another cup of free instant coffee, I realize that during these past 100 days on the World Race my best memories are when I’ve sat still. Sat still around tables filled with the squad and teammates. On the sand waiting for the sun to rise over the Caribbean sea. On buses traveling through countries to reach the lost and broken. Sitting to share a meal with pastors from cities far away speaking Spanglish. Outside in plastic chairs praying for families during door-to-door ministry. Sitting in pews hearing Gods word in different languages. Enjoying a cup of coffee and conversation. Breathing in the fresh air.
Where ever it is, where ever I may be, it’s good to sit, to wait and see.
You catch His glory all around. His creation growing from the ground.
When I just sit with Him and be, that is when I am simply me.
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
