It’s our last week
in India and it’s crazy to believe that it these past two weeks have gone by
already.
I have been
struggling with not exercising this past month. That’s something I was very
consistent with back home and not being able to do it here made things hard.
Especially with how much we have had to eat.
I was praying about
that, asking God to take care of me and rid me of my struggle.
I know I am not the
only one on my team to worry about this. Many have spoken up about it too.
Our day off was
yesterday. It’s funny because we always forget the culture here. We thought we
would be able to do what we want, the whole day… Nope.
They kidnap us,
force us to take a nap on their bed, force us to eat ice cream, give us gifts,
feed us, won’t let us do our own laundry and have us pray for them. Hard life,
right? No, it’s just funny.
It was after dinner
when we were walking back and realized we had so much time to do whatever we
wanted. So, we decided to go play games on top of the roof. I was so excited!
We changed clothes, got our sneakers on, and then… they came to get us.
And we had to wait
longer. We went and sat inside a room, watched people eat for a change, then
prayed over them. Then, we were finally free.
Again, we changed,
put sneakers on, shorts and a tank top, and went to the roof.
No one could see us
or hear us. It was dark. Normally you can’t wear shorts and a tank, so this was
a sweet treat.
And we exercised. We
got our heart rates up, we used our muscles, we worked it out on the roof!
I couldn’t help but
smile and thank the Lord.
God provides. He
surely does and always will.
