This has been a hard month for me. I’m faced with a ministry
that is tough and month 8, meaning I’m almost home but still have three more
months.

The first week we were here we did door to door with three
translators we loved very much! We made great relationships with the guys who
went out with us and enjoyed going with them each day. Over 20 people accepted
Jesus that week and more than 60 homes were visited! It was so exciting for us
to see the fruit God was producing through us. In the evenings we went to the
nearby private hospital to pray for people. The second day we were there, most
of the patients we prayed for were released and gone. God was healing people
left and right!

Our personal Chef, Chef Lucas

One lady named Rosaline, Courtney and I got to pray for,
couldn’t walk, her legs arms and stomach were swollen, she had typhoid and
malaria, and had been in the hospital for a few days. She is a Christ Follower
herself and was crying while we were praying over her. We moved on to the next
lady and while we were praying for her Rosaline began walking around. She was
so excited and happy. We were so excited too! She was released from the
hospital two days later.

This past week, some of the team door to door, but Meghan and
I began tackling repainting the walls in the church. We’re not paining the whole
church, just certain parts. We’ve painted over some old writing and added new
things Pastor Gids wants. One wall will include the new purpose and vision
statement.

That’s me preparing the wall for painting. First we have to clean it. That’s also the old purpose statement.

I think Pastor Gids may have gotten the vision statement
from another preacher in the states, because he does that with a lot of things.

So far this month, four of the six of us got malaria. I had
it last month along with a few other team members and caught it early. I was
sick one day from the medicine with nausea and diarrhea. This month, I knew I
had it because I was very tired even though I had gotten plenty of sleep and
ate a great breakfast. Also, Courtney and I slept with our tent open one night
because there was no power and it was so hot! We woke up to a multitude of
mosquitoes inside the tent.

One of our amazing American meals we’ve enjoyed here.

I am finished taking my malaria meds and will get checked in
three days to be sure I am malaria free. We took different medicine this time
and it didn’t make me sick! I was only dizzy and got a rash. Praise God! The rest
of the girls are doing good too. We praise God we haven’t gotten sick and only
been tired from malaria. It’s the enemy who is against us for all the work of
the kingdom we’ve done in the past few weeks.
