I have made it to Nepal! It is so beautiful here. I didn’t realize this before I came, which I should have, but Nepal is a big tourism country. There is lots to do and see here like waterfalls, bungee jumping, hiking, Mount Everest, etc.

We aren’t sure all we’ll be able to do, but we’re excited to live life here.

This month, I don’t think I am expecting to have internet. So, I’ll tell you what I know now and you’ll get 30 blogs at the end of the month… maybe not that many.

Here is what I know about this upcoming month, We are living in Sindhupalchok this month in Northern Nepal. We’re staying with pastor Tara at a church. The church is on a cliff overlooking a river. We can hear the rushing water from the church. There’s a bridge we can sit on over the river. Our pastor loves hiking and taking people into Tibet. The bus ride to the church is described as a great way to increase your prayer life.

For ministry we’ll be hiking to villages because we can’t ride a bus there. The devil is present here. He has a hold on these villages. We’ll be evangelizing to these people, fighting a battle.

Spiritual Warfare. Not something I have much experience with. We were told that we will be sacrificing our lives daily. We might live without power, with limited food, with suffering, sickness, and hardships. And we were reminded that God doesn’t call us to live a pleasant life. He calls us to a hard life. One we don’t experience in America.

So this month, we’re fighting. I don’t know what it looks like. I don’t know how to fight. I don’t have words to say. I don’t have stories to tell.

God does.

My God will fight for you, you only have to be silent. Exodus 14:14

That verse is playing over and over in my mind. I will continue to rely on Jesus. He has to show up, and he will.

I see him in the beauty of the mountains.

And today, we’re hiking!
