Church here lasts 4
hours. I’ve heard it lasts much longer in Africa. But for now, it’s a really
long time. Especially since I can’t understand anything they’re saying.
In Nepali, there are
many songs that we sing in English.
Rejoice in the Lord
always and again I say rejoice.
Seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness. And all the things shall be added unto
you, allelu, alleluia.
And some others.
I figure some
English missionary came over here to spread the gospel and taught them our
songs.
Yesterday when we
got back from ministry, we made chipoti! Their chipoti is a little different
here than India. They don’t use oil to cook it.
They actually let us
help here and encouraged us too. I was able to roll out the chipoti and flour
the unrolled chipoti. Pastor cooked them on the open fire, one at a time.
They put a tarp up
for us to sit under. We were able to sit outside under the rain, which is such a
nice change from sitting inside our moist room at the picnic table.
Samuel cooked
potatoes for us to go with chipoti. We can usually tell when he cooks because
it doesn’t have much flavor. His mom is a great cook, he must still be learning
the ropes. At least he cooks though. I don’t know if that’s out of their
culture or what.
