In case you were curious as to what a first month World Racer in Romania sees and does, prepare yourself.

The local mode of transportation is not always what you expect. Among cars and buses, horse and buggies are present. A donkey? This is normal.

Play a game of Red-Light/Green-Light with the kids in a local village. Essentially learn the Romanian words for "Red" and "Green."

Play in a field of sunflowers! They are located EVERYWHERE. Our best guess is that they use the sunflower oil as a resource.

Take about a half mile hike everyday down this road to the church where you begin ministry for the day.

Make sure to put your sunglasses on the local kids and take lots of pictures. (They love it!)

Pick pails and pails of fruit! Everything seems to be in season here. The locals will utilize every square inch of their lawn space for planting trees, flowers, and such. Learn from their ability to live off the land.

Collect garbage around town as a tool to talk about Jesus to the locals that you meet.

If you have spare time, don't miss your opportunity to enjoy a sketchy circus in Romania!

Receive endless flowers from your neighbor. (Sweetest man ever!)

Pray with a 62 year old lady with a heart condition at the hospital. Watch as she encourages you to be bold in your faith.

Don't forget when walking the streets or having a morning run to take a buddy. No matter how safe or quiet the streets seem, it's always better with a friend.

Just enjoy and embrace your squad mates! They may seem strange, but treasure these moments you have together. It's only month one…and week one, but God has some awesome plans and working together as community will only make easier.
