Hey all,

As you might know I’m in my last year of high school! I get asked all the time what my plans are after graduations and if you were to ask me that in 2017 I would’ve been able to tell you that I was moving to Sydney, Australia to go to Hillsong’s Ministry college, but after going my last year of youth camp I heard the Lord telling me “just go. You know it’s what I’ve always wanted you to do.” So after tons of prayer and the awesome Pastor Shane from Destiny Christian Center playing a video of people that were on the world race and reading “The Kindness Diaries” by Leon Logothetis and how he ran into a group of Racers, I knew it was where I was being called.

I’m super excited about what God will being doing in my life and the lives of my team and the people we will meet on this amazing 9 month journey.

The World Race is part of Adventure in Missions, an interdenominational missions organization that has sent over 100,000 people into the missions field since 1989. The World Race Gap Year is an opportunity for newly graduated high school students to enter the missions field. We will be partnering with many other organizations along the way, sharing the gospel, working in orphanages, plating churches, and of course loving others.

i will be going to four countries, Ecuador, Guatemala, Cambodia, and Peru. A little less than 2 months in each country and I will be gone for nine months in total.

Going on this trip is the opportunity of a lifetime, but I can’t do it alone if you are interested in being part of this journey, there are multiple ways you can help.

  1. Please pray: Pray for the time leading up to the race, and the time during the race. Pray God works through me and my teammates through this time in our lives.

  2. Financial support: In order for me to go on the World Race Gap Year, I need to raise 15,800. I can’t do it alone. So, if you feel called to support me financially you can do it two different ways, either way it is tax-deductible, first through here my blog (aspenrayneelkins.theworldrace.org) or by mail: send checks made out to Adventures in Missions with for Aspen Elkins in the subject line to: Adventures in Mission P.O box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-3570

Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.

Thank you so much for reading and joining me on this journey, I’m so excited what God has in store for me!

                        With so much love,
