This season of life is inevitable and healthy, I have to keep reminding myself.
This week marks the end of my favorite season of life so far, my time at DBU. If you know me at all, you know I could go on and on about my love for DBU and my years here. This season may be inevitable, but that doesn’t make it easy or fun.
My heart is overflowing with thankfulness and joy, however. I look back on this season that I was so so nervous to step into four years ago and I see growth, confidence, friendships, memories, and life lessons.
This gives me so much hope as I step into a new and exciting season going on the World Race in August. Seeing the Lord’s faithfulness in the past four years reminds me that He is before me in this newness as well. This season is just as set before me with guidance and purpose as the last.
The Lord has His hand set on this plan, and I am excited to be able to look back on this time with the same thankfulness and joy as I am now looking back at my time at DBU, seeing His guidance every step of the way.
His plans have never failed me, and they will not begin to fail me now, even as I step out into utter uncertainty. He is not giving up on me in the changes of life. He is with me through and through.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstance; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I will continue to rejoice, pray, and give thanks to the Good Lord above for new and old seasons alike.
Now here’s to graduation and the World Race being 3 months away!!!!!
