30 days.
As I live my life during these last days in the good ol’ U.S. of A., I can’t help but think about this adventure that I am about to live. Honestly, part of me is scared of leaving my family for nine months, the possibility of eating weird food the whole time, squatty potties, or getting some bizarre disease. The other 80% of me is ridiculously excited though. I’m excited about building relationships, about living on mission, about the culture, the smells, and the new language. Everything is going to be new and exciting. I’m not just visiting either, I’m moving. Like what!?!? I’m actually going to experience what it is like to live in these countries and to do life with amazing people. I’m so blessed!
13 days.
Then there is this big cloud hanging over my head named $13,805. Yeah, that one. I know it may be awkward to read about me asking for money in every blog post. Trust me, it’s uncomfortable for me too. But, almost every good thing takes some sacrifice to get to, so I’m asking you to partner with me financially. I have to make my deadline of $10,000 by September 13th in order to go on this adventure. As crazy as this may seem, an amazing opportunity has been placed in my lap.
For up to $1,000, an amazing person has offered to match my donations, which means that every dollar you donate turns into $2!!
How cool is that?! If I raise $1,000 in the next 13 days, I will pass my deadline!! I know this is possible because I serve a God who makes the impossible and crazy, possible.
So, I need you (yes, you who is reading this blog right now, not the collective you) to please pray and ask God what He wants you to donate towards my trip. I’ll wait. 🙂
Ok, now I would love it if you donated that money to my blog. You can do so through check, up to September 2nd to process in time, or online by clicking here by September 13th.
Next, I am asking that you please pray that I make this deadline. The prayer of a righteous man avails much. -James 5:16b
Finally, thank you! Thank you for your support and prayers! I would not be going on this amazing adventure without you guys! It means so much to me, and I pray for all of you often!
May the King of kings bless you!
