One of the most stressful parts of training camp was the process of getting a team! Team exercises happened, teams failed, teams excelled. How on earth was AIM going to put me and 45 other people on a team where they were supposed to be? The task seemed impossible to me and I wouldn't be honest if I told you I had full faith in what AIM was doing because I didn't.
But on Thursday afternoon, the announcement was made and we all gathered to hear who was going to be on our team! And boy was I blessed by an amazing group of girls to spend my year with! I can't wait to see where God is going to take us this year!
So meet my team– VESSELS or Very Empowered Servants Saving Every Lost Soul!

From Left to Right– Amy, Susan, me, Brittany, Emily, Nicole, and Bethany!

Amy- She has one of the best laughs I've ever heard and her joy is contagious! She brings a light to the room when she walks in and its hard not to laugh when she is around. I can't wait to spend the year laughing hysterically with her!

Susan- Susan was originally on R-squad with me and we became close there! We are so blessed to still be not only squad mates but TEAM MATES too! She's our logical one, she likes numbers and budgets meaning she will be the one to keep us in line with our spending this year! My favorite thing about Susan is she tells it like it is, all the time but somehow, you still know she loves you at the end of it, a quality that is so hard to come by.

Brittany- She has one of the greatest FIRES burning in her for God I have ever seen. Her testimony is proof that God can do anything and can bring us through anything. I can't wait to see Him continue to pursue her this year and to see what AWESOME things she is going to do for the Kingdom!

Emily- She reminds me of home with her somewhat 'hippie' self. She brings such a peace to every situation and is our quiet processor that often comes up with the best ideas. I also can't wait to see what adventures the two of us can come up with this year on a whim while the rest of the team is trying to make plans 😉

Nicole- Our team leader for the year! I couldn't have asked for a better leader to learn from this year! She listens so well and has a personality that you can trust! I have a feeling she is also going to teach me to better organized and how to keep ato-do list by the end of these 11-months!

Bethany- I think Bethany has the sweetest and most genuine heart of anyone that I have ever met. She enjoys painting faces of children and eating fruit pizza (nomnomnom).I can't wait to see her interact with people throughout the next year because her heart is truly so big and has so much love to give!

“Maybe its like you said before, all of us being cracked open. Like each of us starts out as a watertight vessel. And then things happen – these people leave us, or don’t love us, or don’t get us, or we don’t get them, and we lose and fail and hurt one another. And the vessel starts to crack in places. And I mean, yeah once the vessel cracks open, the end becomes inevitable. Once it starts to rain inside the Osprey, it will never be remodeled. But there is all this time between when the cracks start to open up and when we finally fall apart. And its only that time that we see one another, because we see out of ourselves through our cracks and into others through theirs. When did we see each other face to face? Not until you saw into my cracks and I saw into yours. Before that we were just looking at ideas of each other, like looking at your window shade, but never seeing inside. But once the vessel cracks, the light can get in. The light can get out.”
