This week has been INTENSE!!
Our church has just wrapped up VBS – Vacation Bible School. We had little boys and little girls from ages 4-10 years old experience God, some for the FIRST TIME…

This is why I do what I am doing now. GOD is love, and His love is for everyone. Seeing these little ones receive the Father’s love makes all the day worth while.

My normal schedule is to be at the church building/ office at 7:45am and we leave about 6pm . This week my team and I were to come in at 6am Tuesday through Friday and our leave time was still 6pm. MAN, I understand how Jesus felt when He would spend a whole day ministering and healing people, then trying to rest for a bit, but then people gathered to Him, and the compassion inside of Him caused Him to continue to still minister….

For VBS we have a theme of Princess and Warrior. This is the second year of VBS. (Our church here in Kalamazoo is fairly new about 4 years this coming October)  The girls learned 1 Timothy 6:11 > “But you, O ‘wo’man of God, flee these things and pursue, righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. The boys learned Ephesians 6:11-13 >  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, having done all, to stand.

Yes, The boys did learn a longer piece of scripture.  But that is OK because the word of God is good!! We all had such a great time. Filled with excitement and adventure. We had games and activities such as a “Water Day” – this was my favorite activity from all the others. We made an enlarge slip’n slide on one of hills using a tent tarp and plastic wrap. We suds it up with dish soap and hosed it down with the water. OOH and the fun part about that, too, is that we had a storm roll in with at least an inch or two of rain!!! It was still like 80 degrees and HOT everything was wet- it was great!!! The storm lasted about half hour. All the kids had a blast, and when they all left to go home, the team and I had some more fun too.

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good, even in the midst of the storm, He will still be there to shine His SON upon you….
