The past two weeks have consisted of traveling around the greater midwest and “south” to visit some family and friends. This is partially why I have not written in such a long time. I was so excited about seeing so many people, but that also brought some sadness as I said goodbye to many friends whom I won’t be seeing again before I leave on my trip–and many of which I have no clue when I will see them again. But among the sadness comes a great Joy of being home with family around the Holidays and an excitement for what is to come in 2009.
My teck started out when I said goodbye to all those I love in Bloomington, IL. It was sad and hard to leave there. I miss everyone so much! I was so blessed by the people I lived with and my work. I feel like I am on vacation or something…but it will be a long time before I will be back there–even if just for a visit!
This is my friend Ande and I at a hockey game the weekend before I left.
Sherry, the boss lady; her 3 adorable girls; Laurie, and Me!
Laurie and Todd: who graciously opened their home to me 🙂
I headed to Bourbonnais, IL next, where I have several friends from school and had a short visit there. These are two good friends of mine in their Russian hats 🙂
Next I headed to Indy to see my friend Abby’s family and her sister in the performance of “Little Women” as Jo. She was INCREDIBLE!! Then I went to Bloomington, IN to see my friend Casey. We had a great time together! Here we are at IU!
After that it was time to head to Nashville to visit several friends! I got to see my friend Abby from Spring Arbor and we were able to go to another friend, Becca’s soccer game. We spent that evening at the Opry Land Hotel looking at all the Christmas decorations, it was beautiful!
I also go to see and stay with my friends Joy and Eric.
And last but not least, I went to Kentucky to see my aunt and her family. She took this picture, but these are my cousins Kamon and Kaden, and my uncle Damon. It was so great to see them as well! And then I made the 7 1/2 hour drive to Michigan!
It was a great time and I hope you enjoyed the pictures and such! T-Minus 37 days until I leave! Wow…it is going to go by so fast!!!
