My biggest prayer has been that I don’t get in the way of God’s work, but that he use me how he wants. I let myself get in the way a lot of ministering to people because I bring it back to myself. The other day, the Lord gave me a few verses in John that are as follows:
“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
John 16:22-24
That was really my prayer as I was struggling with so many things. And then today, he gave me John 3: 30…”He must increase but I must decrease.” More of him and less of me. That’s the cry of my heart.
