Here we go to Haitie! Wow. We have officially found out where we are going to be and what we are going to be doing while in Haiti. We will be doing disaster relief, mainly construction in the town of Gonaives. (I am super pumped about this, because this is really what I was hoping we would do while in Haitie!) We will be tenting on a YWAM base there.  Whereas most teams are partnered up with another team, we are one of two teams that will be on our own for the month. The locals there will be buying and preparing our food for us, and we will be doing some preaching, teaching, and evangelism as well. They emphasised “rebuilding the town and their spirits in Christ.” We are very excited to start this new advneture and really rough it!

We aren’t sure what the internet situation is going to be like, so it is possible we may not be able to communicate even as much as we have here in the DR. Crazy to think about, but I just wanted to give you the heads up!

Here is the general outline of where we are heading in the next few months:
Right now we are in the town of San Juan doing debriefing stuff from this past month. We will be leaving here on Feb. 1 to head to Santo Domingo. We will spend one night there, and then take a bus back across the country to Haitie and will be in Porter Prince on the 2nd. I am hoping to meet up with Todd Holton and the team from SAFMC, but it isn’t looking great at this point. We will be spending the night there (tenting) and will head to our ministry site on the 3rd. We will be at that site until the 21st and then will be heading back to Santo Domingo, DR to have a long debrief from our time in the Carribian. From there, we head to Miami on March 3rd, have a short lay-over, and then fly to LA. We will spend the night in LA and on the 4th we head over to Bankock, Thailand.

Prayer:

Please, please be parying for my team. We didn’t get to spend much time as a team in the month of January. We were spread out in different houses and worked with another group, so we didn’t have a lot of chance to grow together as a team. I think the Lord really knew we were needing to grow in that way!

Pray for the spiritual warfare we will come across. Haitie is a very dark place and we know we will be encouratering spititual warfare on deeper levels than we have thus far. We have no fear in this, but there is a lot that we need to be aware of and we continue to pray God breaks us and uses us in this place.

Pray our hearts will be broken for the people and that we will find ways to love on them.

Pray for safety as we set out to do whatever jobs they have for us. We aren’t sure what this construction is going to look like.

Please pray for us as we go about or first attemps of tenting and all that entails…digging a latrine, finding water, all of that good st
