My dear friend Anna, who you know and have read lots about through my blog, needs your prayers.
It is so incredible to me how God is so faithful to us and has us in his hands. I have so many testimonies to God’s greatness and love from these past few weeks, it is hard to remember them all. I love being able to give God all the glory for what he has done because he never ceases to amaze me.
Anna has had a really hard week. For 4 or 5 days she was really suffering with sickness and was not feeling well when we left from Santo Domingo yesterday to come to Miami. She was feeling nauseous and had a head ache as we left the base at 4am. We had an hour bus ride to the airport and then a 2 1/2 flight to Miami. When we got to Miami we had a little bit of time before our connecting flight to LA, so four of us went to eat at Chili’s 🙂 We were heading through security and the short of the long is, she passed out. She was out for about 15 minutes, barely responsive at times until the medics came and took her to the hospital. Jenn and I were able to go with her (thankfully). When we got there, she was barely breathing, and they thought they were going to have to intubate her. God was in complete control and the doctor was baffled that when we went to put the tube in her, she spontaniously woke up and became oriented. That does not normally happen when someone has been uncouncious for that long of a period of time. By the end of the night she has been moved to a private room to have observation and to make sure she would stay stable.
Please pray for Anna’s strength to return and that her headaches go away. Jenn, Anna, and I will be leaving from Miami sometime in the next few days, depending on when Anna is discharged and feeling up to strength. We will fly to LA and then head to Bangkok, Thailand. From there we will take a long bus ride to Cambodia where we will meet up with our teams. Lots ahead of us in the next few days. God is filling Jenn and I with his strength, and we are doing well, but would love your prayers as well. I will post an update when I can.
Love and blessings to all, and thanks for your faithfulness to me through this journey! This adventure is full of surprises!
