When we are doing missions work, or know someone who is out on the missions field, we have this expectation that God will show up and move in huge ways in every little thing we are doing. We expect to hear all of these incredible stories. But why don’t we do that in our every day lives? And why do we only assume big things are happening because we think they are big or because we see them? Is God so small that he isn’t able to work on the inside of each individual child of his? Or is he so big that we cant imagine the work he is doing?

God’s work is long and tiring. We do the things that are asked of us by the pastor  and when we don’t see something happen right away, we get down on ourselves, at least I have in the past few days. Isn’t it enough to look down and see a child’s smile because you said hello to them? Isn’t it enough to hear the laughter of the young adults as you hit a volleyball around with them? Oh, God is moving mountains, that is for sure. But he isn’t doing it because we showed up here. He is choosing to use us in ways we will never see or know. God is most certainly doing work here. And he is doing work at home as well. We must choose to allow him to work through us even though we don’t see anything.

I wish i could post more pictures and some video that has been taken. However, with limited internet time and a slow computer, that is just not possible at this point. I will post things as soon as I can! Here is one picture for you…
