Hello friends and family of the one and only Ashley Starks! Our team this week did a secret Valentine and we decided that who we picked we would write a blog about. So, as you can tell I got Ashley, and I’m so glad I did.
My name is Sarah McClure and I was just put on Ashley’s team about a month ago. I am so thankful to have gotten to know her and to be on a team with her. I have learned so much from her already and I can’t wait to finish the race with her.
When I think of Ashley I think of a loyal friend. She is someone you can trust with a deep secret, and not only trust that she will keep it, but she will not judge you for whatever you say. She is someone who gives advice from a place of truth. She is a strong leader, who leads humbly and with a servant’s heart. Everywhere Ashley goes she creates a comfortable environment with her hilarious jokes and witty sarcasm. When I say she is funny I mean it, this girl can make me cry tears of joy with her dad jokes.
Ashley is someone who loves so deeply, and the best part about her love is that she loves everyone the same. Whether you are a stranger off the street or her very best friend she will love you deeply. Simply put she loves like Jesus does.
Something I love about her is that she sticks up for people behind their back. I have seen this many times in the short month that I have gotten to know her. If there is anything unkind said about anyone behind their back, Ashley will call it out and defend that person.
She has taught me what it means to speak eloquently with both grace and truth.
Ashley, I am so thankful to know you. Thank you for being such a good friend to me.
