Hello everyone! I am so excited to get my blog up and running and I’ll just start with sharing a little bit about who I am.
First, my name is Ashley Smith, I am 25 and live in Northern California.
I made the choice to follow Jesus 4.5 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. Ever since then He has completely changed how I live my life and the direction of my life.
Right before leaving for the race I finished my bachelors degree in Christian Leadership through Northwest University. I worked at Destiny Christian Church in Rocklin California. I am very involved with my church through various ministries including our Young Adults group, Women’s bible study, our bilingual service, children’s ministry and working in our community center cafe.
I don’t know exactly what field God is calling me to for a career right now but that’s why I’ve taken the opportunities presented to work with various ministries. This is also a big reason why I’m going on the World Race. It is a year of full time ministry in many different areas with many different people. I am excited for the opportunity to experience new things and see if there is something that jumps out at me that I know God is calling me to.
I have 3 younger brothers who are 21, 7 and 5! I love them all dearly and enjoy seeing them grow up and experiencing the world.
Overall, I’m just a girl who loves Jesus with her whole heart and wants to see others experience the freedom and joy I have found in Him. I love coffee dates with others, sharing my testimony, sushi, stars, nature walks, and learning.
