UPDATE!
Wow. We leave Belmopan, Belize this Wednesday and I cannot believe how fast our time here went by. Here are a few snapshots of some of the ministry opportunities we had.
Each of these photos will let you see into the moments that had a huge impact on me. However, my photography skills are lacking, LOL! These photos are reminders to me of what God has done in my heart this month. What a pleasure it has been to serve these beautiful people; my heart is so full. Witnessing the Lord’s work everyday is an unexplainable feeling. Most of the time I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I can’t tell you the number of times my eyes were filled with tears of joy. During our time here we served St. Michael R.C. School, Kids of Honor, the men of Freedom House, Marla’s Girls Home, Hedges, evangelized and put on our own VBS at our host’s home. I will share more about each of these ministries as I finish reflecting on each of them but for now, I just wanted to give a quick update.
During each of these ministries God’s presence was undeniable, He has truly spoken to me in so many different ways. There is no doubt that this is and will be the journey of a lifetime. The change that has already taken place in my heart is indescribable and sometimes incomprehensible. Where there was once heartache and bitterness that I had suppressed, there is now joy and peace. The peace I have comes from His all surpassing power that has been very apparent each day. I have total faith that this season will prepare me to fulfill my purpose in God’s plan. He has continually shown His presence in each of the people I encountered this month. Through those people He has taught me countless lessons and I will be forever grateful for this first month and the change that took place in my heart! Thank you to each and everyone of you who have and continue to support me.
