July 1st I leave for Peru with a team of people my age who are eager to spread the love of Christ and share the gospel with the people of this country. We recently received the details of where we will be and what we will be doing. God has given me the opportunity and challenge to help interpret for our team during this trip.
We will spend the first few days of the month being taught more about Christ and what it means to be a disciple-maker. Then, we will fly to Lima, Peru.
Week 1: We will be in a town called Callao – it is just outside of Lima. During our time there, we will be working with a pastor who runs a special needs home.
Week 2: We will be working with a church doing children’s ministry at an orphanage.
Week 3: We will be at another special needs home.
After our time in Peru, we will return to the United States to debrief our trip and reflect upon what the Lord is doing.
Please pray that God’s named be glorified in everything that my team and I do during our time in Peru.

El 1 de julio me voy para Perú con un grupo de personas para mostrar el amor de Cristo y compartir el evangelio con la gente de este país. Hace poco que recibimos los detalles de dónde vamos a estar trabajando y de lo que vamos a estar haciendo. Dios me ha dado la oportunidad y el reto para ser intérprete para nuestro equipo durante este viaje.
Vamos a pasar los primeros días aprendiendo más sobre Cristo y qué significa ser un “hacedor de discípulos.” Después, tomaremos un vuelo a Lima, Perú.
Semana 1: Estaremos en un pueblo que se llama Callao. Durante nuestro tiempo allí, trabajaremos con un pastor que tiene una casa de niños con necesidades especiales.
Semana 2: Estaremos trabajando con una iglesia, haciendo ministerio infantil en un orfanato.
Semana 3: Estaremos ayudando en otra casa de niños con necesidades.
Después de nuestro tiempo en Perú, vamos a regresar a los Estados Unidos para tener un tiempo para reflejar en lo que Dios ha hecho y sigue haciendo en Perú y en nuestras propias vidas.
Favor, que ores que el nombre de Cristo Jesús sea glorificado en todo lo que hace mi equipo y yo.
