We made it safely to Cambodia!! Thank you Jesus, all glory goes to Him!
After 4 long travel days consisting of heat, air plane food, sleepless nights, and several layovers my squad and I are now in Battambang, Cambodia!!!
My squad and I left Atlanta, Georgia September 10th at 1am to catch a 6:10 flight to San Fransisco, California! It was a five hour long flight followed by a 15 hour long layover. We went to go see the Golden Gate bridge and tour the city!! It was awesome to explore the West Coast!
We then boarded a 14 hour long plane ride to China! I got the opportunity to eat some local Chinese food along with some delicious Starbucks coffee while at the air port!
After this 6 hour layover we took another plane ride to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where we stayed the night! We went to local markets and explored city life!
In the morning, we took an 8 hour bus ride to Battambang! On our way we stopped by a rest stop where we played wth some kids, ate our first Cambodian meal, enjoyed each others presences, and breathed in Gods goodness.
Now, I am currently in a coffee shop with some of my squad mates. This place is called Eden. Here, I’m soaking in all the nice air conditioning, flavorful coffee, wifi, and amazing fresh food!! Today we have a rest day and have been exploring all the cities beauty. It is so amazing, God is so good.
Today I slept for 9 hours, praise Jesus!! We went to the market and I got to eat the best pineapple my taste buds have ever laid on. Everyone is so kind here, starting from our very kind ministry hosts to the local market people all the way to the fun tuk tuk drivers! Smiles fill the locals faces as we walk buy and wave. Gods beauty is transparent through His people here. It’s such a humbling sight to see.
I am really looking forward to doing ministry here, my heart is just so overjoyed!!! It’s so humbling to finally be here safely!
I look beside me and see my beautiful sisters. I breathe in cool air. I cherish their hearts so much. I can’t wait to discover more and more of Gods goodness with them.
