Lesotho, Africa: 1/05/19
So we had our first day of ministry today here in Lesotho! It was amazing going to the Hospital to teach and pray for the people there. We also went to the church we will be working at and did clean up. It was a simple day, but a great way to start off in the ministry field!! Tomorrow is a new day and we will be doing a prayer walk through the town we are staying in Mokhotlong, Africa. I am very excited to get to be a part of that!
It is not just my team here in Mokhotlong, there are two other teams staying at the same location we are at this month. I love that because it gives us an opportunity to grow together and do ministry with more people. We still will be having team time with just my team, but ministry so far as been done all together or by mixing up the teams.

We have been here a few short days and already God as been speaking to me. One day this week I woke up at 5:30 A.M. I tried to lay back down, but God was talking to me he said “I want to spend time with you.” That is a hard request to ignore. But the flesh is weak even though the soul is willing. So I asked God, “can’t we spend time together in my dreams?” (something I realized I do a lot) No answer. So I got out of bed, grabbed some coffee and my Bible. And went out into the cold crisp morning air! The view took me by surprise so I stood in awe of these mountains God created! God knows me very well I could have stood there for a long time admiring His creation. So he interrupted my thoughts, “Ashley I want to spend time with you!” So I went to a quiet place and began to read my Bible and listen to what the Lord was trying to tell me. He asked me to open to the book of Isaiah 8-9, basically it is saying do not fear evil, not to ask mediums for advice but to go directly to the Lord for answers. Then I had praise and worship, just me and God! I realized I feel very close to God in these moments of praise to him! How my soul longs to be in the throne room of Heaven singing to Him! I feel lighter and brighter every time I go there! Why do I not do this more often?
The following morning the same thing happened, only this time I woke up at 6:30 A.M. God said the same thing as the day before. “Ashley I want to spend time with you.” I still did not want to get out of bed, but did not fight it as hard as the day before. I got my coffee and my Bible and walked outside. This morning I read 1 John 1-2. The more I read the Word of God the more I know His heart. The more I read the more I realize how little I do know about God. And the more I read, the more I want to read. It is very addictive in the best way possible!
I can not wait to see how God talks to me the rest of this month this place we are staying was made for me! I love it here! I get to run in the mountains of Africa every day! I have found so much peace here. I can walk around barefoot if I want (not every where, but outside the house we are staying at). I wake to the most amazing views. There are places to hike with in five minutes walking distance. My soul is free to wonder here! My inner child gets to climb! My eye’s get to see the most beautiful scenery! My heart gets to love people! I am truly joyful and blessed! I never want to leave this place. I know in a few weeks I will have to go, and when God say’s to go I will with joy in my heart knowing the next place will hold something else amazing!

I encourage you to take time to talk with God! If that is reading you’r Bible, praying while in the car to work. Or even while you are working out! Making lunches for you’r kid’s. He wants to be a part of you’r every day life! You don’t have to be in Church to talk to God, He will meet you anywhere at any time.  Has much time as we spend living life 10,15, 30 minutes a day to set a side to spend with the Lord is not a lot.  And if you do set aside the time you are the one who will benefit from it! Your outlook on life will change for the better!

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

If you’r life seems out of control and you are at a loss of what to do. Go spend time with the Lord. He will be there in your time of need!

God Bless
