Sharing what are month of ministry has been like here
Our ministry that we are working with is called Hosea’s Heart. It is overseen by an amazing woman called Mary-Kate and her team. The ministry’s vision is to bring the gospel, light and life to the girls of Swaziland who have been trafficked, sexually abused or are in at risk situations where this could take place. They also have a passion to engage with the girls who are on the street trying to make money by selling themselves.
Hosea’s heart primary ministry is a girls home that houses 16 girls who have been taken out of these situations and given love, hope and life. They are homeschooled by the staff, have bible studies regularly. You can check it out here or on Facebook as Hosea’s Heart.
Our first week with the ministry had one of their outreach events and so the first week we helped to hand our hand made invitations to the girls on the streets. On the Wednesday and Friday evenings before the event we went out at night with our host to invite the girls, gave them snacks and offered prayer. The Saturday evening at the event the girls who came, got a cooked meal, had a dance part and were basically loved on by the staff and volunteers. My team that night went to the girls home and had an evening of prayer, worship, bible study and not forgetting a dance party!
At the event 27 girls showed up and were blessed by the staff, and two gave their lives to Jesus which was so amazing!!
The last couple of weeks we have been spending most of our time and ministry with the girls at the home. We have been helping them with their homework, tutoring and leading bible study which has been a lot of fun. Here’s a few pictures I got to take of some of the girls, they are beautiful 🙂

The other bigger project we got to help out with was that the ministry has secured land to build new houses for the girls and our ministry house, with the future plan being to house up to 56 girls which is just incredible; anyway one of the houses was just finished and so we got to paint the outside

On one of the days we all went with the staff and girls from the home and we prayed and worshiped over the house and the land, it was a beautiful moment in a stunning part of the world to be able to come alongside one another and pray and sing together.
To you it probably doesn’t sound like we did a lot or did a lot of ‘work’ but actually for the most part we have been incredibly blessed to come alongside these girls, and disciple them, helping them to realise their calling and destiny from the Lord and man, it has been so powerful!
