Hey friends, this is the second part of my 2019 year in photos, hope you enjoy! πŸ™‚

JULY

I returned home to the isle of Northern Ireland, in a whirlwind of emotions. God had taught me a lot over the last 2 years and so rather than moving on to the next thing (which I am good at), it was time to come to a place where I could begin to really reflect and process one of the biggest things I’ve done. Realising there was A LOT in that, I began feeling overwhelmed and now trying to merge what felt like two lives into one, being in a community that is ever changing and also knowing I had changed was difficult. I kinda wanted it be a ‘slot in the box’ move and straightforward, but as I sit here writing on the 30th December it hasn’t been and I’ve come to a place knowing that that is ok. I thought that the transition would be quick, alas I’m still in it, still pursuing health and healing in relationships and intimacy with God – the joy of the process and the journey.

Here is my mum and dad, it might not look like it (because they hate selfies) they were happy and probably relieved that I returned home in one piece πŸ˜›

What has helped and been a huge blessing was having a space to come home to and people like these two to live with. its been an adventure in of itself and I’m deeply thankful for.

AND of course many catch ups, coffees and going out dinners were had!

and also being reunited with my favourite non-human ever!!!!!! <3

With establishing a routine again, that also meant returning to work. If you can imagine, after being away for so long, to be able to come back to the job I left and loved, as a nurse was an incredible gift. it does have its ups and downs for sure, but what job doesn’t, I’m thankful I get to do it here.

AUGUST

Many adventures were had, somehow it managed to stay sunny for an entire week, so here’s some photos of the sunflower field we went to.

August made it one year in which I had finished my own race. 11 countries in 11 months, still sounds crazy to me today. I’m very thankful to have travelled with these humans. This photo is a flashback to Easter 2018 when we were in South Africa for debrief and went to a service at Hillsong church.

SEPTEMBER

more adventures were had along the beautiful Northern Irish coastline, if you have never been, allow these photos to capture your imagination and then just book flights and come here! you’ll be glad you did!

Plenty more coffee dates and lunches were had, here’s one of my favourite places Lost and Found, eating eggs benedict and flat whites all round <3

OCTOBER

In October, I don’t really remember taking lots of photos, however having been home for a few months and getting over jet lag and culture shock, these words were timely in helping me to remember to take one day at a time.

NOVEMBER

This photo was taken at our annual women’s conference, this year Rita Springer came to lead worship and speak. It was an amazing weekend.

At the end of November I took a couple of weeks off and flew to Illinois to see one of my friends from the world race and spend thanksgiving there also. It was my first time experiencing thanksgiving and all the things in between it was an amazing time. We also got to sight see St.Louis and the archway…super cool.

DECEMBER

Reunited with friends from afar is one of the best things. Karen is from Northern Ireland but has been living in Cambodia for the last few years. When I’ve been there we have managed to meet up. She came home for Christmas, so here is us catching up πŸ™‚

Christmas brings lots of excuses to get dressed up and eat lots of food and dance. Here is one from my Christmas work party πŸ™‚

And last but not least you always gotta have an obligatory Christmas day selfie πŸ™‚

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
