A few days ago we had all squad worship, we were encouraged to write our own psalms and prayers to the Lord, so this is mine.
LORD I look to you, never will I be overcome when you draw near. I wait eagerly for you and when you do, I am never disappointed. You lift me out of the depths of uncertainty and the quicksand of doubt. You set my whole being upon on the rock and foundation that is Holy and secure.
You put songs and life in to my being, that causes me to praise you, all my days; For when the fear of the LORD arises, your people turn to you and put their trust in You alone.
Prosperous is the man that trusts in God, the God of the Angel Armies, for he has turned away from man made idols.
Great and countless are the wonders of You Father, for what you have planned out for our lives we cannot even fathom. For if I were to speak of them, my voice would grow weary.
Here I am then LORD, all my life, I give to you. Just as it was written in the scroll, the story of my life; I thank you LORD, my worship will always be to you.
I desire to live out the destiny in which you have called me to. Your wisdom fills my heart and therefore I will proclaim your goodness to others; nothing can hold me back.
You know O LORD, I do not hide your truth within me, and so I shout aloud your faithfulness so that everyone may hear of your marvelous deeds. I store no thing for my gain, not truth or love but that those things compel me to invite others in.
Do not withold your mercy from me LORD, stretch out your arms of love and truth that they may protect me forever. For when the hard times come, I feel overwhelmed in my spirit, I become numb and unable to move – my heart is distant.
But now LORD, make it your joy to save me, draw close to me in this time of change.
Those who try to tear me down, will you cause confusion in their minds and embarrassment because of their actions.
Remind us LORD, that those who seek your face will always be glad, and will then celebrate because of your kindness. We chose to love and abide in you – sing praise and honour back to you.
Help me to remember when I feel without, You are right there with me, helping me to understand and making the way to You easy. You O LORD will see me through until the end of time, and so now do not delay for my need is great.
