Hello from Kyrgyzstan! An update about China will be coming soon, but first I wanted to share a poem I wrote as part of a devotional we did in Nepal.

How long, they ask, how long?
     Yeah, Lord
I have been waiting patiently
     Oh so patiently.
          Eyes on the clock
               And not on my Rock
     As time turns to minutes
          And minutes to years
               And years to fears
That You will never answer my prayers.

How long, I ask, how long?
     If at all, if ever?
I have been waiting patiently
While hope drains from my heart
Like living water from a broken cup
Did I not love You enough?
     But I am patient.
          Oh so patient.
               See me.
                    See me.
                         See me.
     Waiting.
Right here where You left me
               You left me
                    Didn’t you?

How long, You ask, how long?
     I have been waiting patiently
          Oh so patiently
For your heart to turn to Me
          Daughter
     I have been waiting
          As time turns to minutes
               And minutes to years
                    For your fears
                         To turn to trust
          See Me.
See Me, and not the clock
                    Nor the calander
Nor the wrinkles on your skin
                              And let me begin
To fill you up with timeless faith
And hope that does not disappoint.
          Come, daughter.
               It’s time.
