We have a couple days left here in Ella, Sri Lanka, where we have been for the past few weeks. I am on a new team for the month, Team Two. My teammates are Ari, Anna, Elva, Heidi, Kailey, and Nicole. I have learned a lot from each one of them!
Ella is a small town in the mountains where lots of tourists come to visit. It is really beautiful here and the weather is a lot cooler than in other parts of Sri Lanka. There are several cool things to see that are within walking distance, such as a waterfall, nine arch bridge, caves, and lots of mountains to hike.
During our time here we have mostly been reaching out to locals that are working in the cafes and restaurants here. We’ve made notes for them and given them chocolate chips cookies. Mostly it has been just sharing conversations with them and making friends. We have spent time praying and worshipping in different parts of the city. I can’t give a whole lot of specific details over my blog but feel free to reach out to me and I will tell you some more stories.
