I have some news! I am officially FULLY FUNDED!!! I found out last night, New Year’s Eve, that I would be fully funded, not just before launch, but before the year even came to an end. Praise God! I am so overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that has been shown to me, simply because I asked.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Wow has that been true. I haven’t done any fundraisers, besides making a couple posters and trying to sell my stuff online. All of the funds I’ve raised have come from kind people, giving out of love. I trusted God to bring in my support, and He did, through all of you. Thank God, and thank you!
I leave home in just 12 days. I would like to find people to commit to praying one day each month according to the numbered requests below. For example, you would pray for number 4 on the 4th of the month each month. If you are interested in being a part of this prayer team, please let me know, by commenting or messaging me.
31 Day Prayer List
- Pray for the ministries we will be a part of: That God would lead us to the right ones, that we would be able to help them in a meaningful way, that new and better teams will join them once we leave.
- Pray for hearts to be open to accept the Gospel, that no matter where we find a person in their journey, we can lead them one step closer to Jesus.
- Pray for our travel logistics: Making all our flights, the ability to sleep on buses, not getting lost, etc.
- Pray for our health: No malaria, no typhoid, no travelers’ diarrhea, no lice, no sore throats, etc
- Pray for no bugs to crawl in our tents and/or on our bodies.
- Pray for all my squad mates to become fully funded.
- Pray for our community, for everyone on our squad, and the teams to become close friends.
- Pray for our spiritual growth.
- Pray for our mental health.
- Pray for patience: We will be around people 24/7, we will need it!
- Pray for humility and grace in all circumstances.
- Pray for our safety, no broken bones, no terrorist attacks, etc.
- Pray that we may be able to communicate with home in a healthy and balanced way, staying present where we are, while still being able to keep up with friends, family, and supporters.
- Pray for Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Spain, and Morocco, along with any other countries we may end up in.
- Pray that we can overcome language barriers.
- Pray for energy, in the face of jetlag, long travel days, long ministry days, physical demands of the trip, and being around people all the time.
- Pray for protection against theft, lost bags, and especially lost passports!
- Pray that we may either pack or find abroad everything we need for the trip.
- Pray for the Beauty for Ashes women’s ministry. I will be the squad coordinator. Please pray for me to do well in this role.
- Pray for the leadership: Team Leaders, Squad Leaders, Mentors, etc. There are many people involved with helping us along the way.
- Pray for direction, that the World Race may give me an idea of what I should do going forward.
- Pray for our families to stay safe, alive, and for them not to worry about us while we are away.
- Please pray for the people we are ministering to, for their physical, financial, and spiritual needs.
- Pray that we will be obedient to whatever God asks us to do and that He will use us in all kinds of ways.
- Pray for joy, especially when things get hard.
- Pray for healthy communication skills.
- Pray that we would make the most out of the year.
- Pray that on long bus rides, they would make frequent bathroom breaks!! God be with my tiny bladder.
- Pray that our family and friends at home may be touched by our ministry as well.
- Pray for wisdom and inspiration in writing blogs.
- Pray for many lives and hearts to be changed.
2017 was a good year, filled with far more blessings than I ever would have imagined. In less than two weeks, I am going on a trip I have dreamed about since my sophomore year in college. I know it will be filled with highs and lows. That is why I am asking you, even now, to pray. Thank you all so much for being a part of my life.
