15 things you’ll experience at World Race Training Camp
Bucket showers and port-a-potties
Meals you must eat with your hands, that sometimes include BUGS (no forks, plates, or napkins in sight)
Hiking up giant hills everywhere you go
Being covered in dirt and sweat 24 hours a day
Sleeping in a tent. In the woods. For 11 days.
Experiencing God’s healing like never before
Meeting 50 strangers and growing to love them as much as family
Staying up late and waking up early
Living with spiders, crickets, ants, and more
Laughing so hard you almost pee your pants
Pitching and collapsing a tent, and packing and unpacking a backpack more times than you can keep track of
Hand cramps from trying to take as many notes as possible from the incredible speakers
Love, encouragement, and feedback from people who think you’re great and want God’s best for you
Being the “smelly kid” (but so is everyone else, so it’s no big deal!)
Growing, changing, learning, loving more than you ever thought possible
Training camp was incredible and I’m still processing through everything I learned from the insanely equipped Adventures staff and all that I walked through with the Lord for the last 11 days. I am tired, filled up, happy, and so excited to leave for India in 6 weeks. I met not only my whole squad, but the team of 6 other girls that I’ll live and work with for the first part of the WR as well. I can’t wait to introduce you to them individually, but for now just know that they are wonderful, funny, inspiring, beautiful, and strong. And I can’t wait to learn from them, grow with them, and love them till they’re sick of me!
Thank you for getting me to training camp! I need about $1600 more to reach my next goal on July 21. If you’d like to financially support me, please click the donate button at the top of the page! If you would like to join me on this journey to reaching people who have never met Jesus, please click on the subscribe button to make sure you get all of my blog updates!
