Our first team activity as a new team was a scavenger hunt…this is how it happened!
We decided on our team name as Mirador. This is one of the many words we found while searching for a name. The themes we were looking at were lighthouses, water, rocks, meaningful, safe, strong, bold, home, and family. Choosing a name can be difficult when we all have different perspectives and ideas, but Mirador was a synonym to lighthouse and watchtower. No one was completely opposed after we spent some time in prayer and worship, so we are now team Mirador. After it was chosen we looked up the origin, which happens to be Spanish for “to look.”
So, not only we will be a safe place shining and reflecting light into the world, but we will be looking like Jesus as we look at him for direction!
