Just had to give a quick update!
August 3 I will be leaving for Atlanta, then on to Sombor, Serbia! (This is less than 10 days away!! ??????)

While in Sombor we will be staying and serving at Christian Fellowship of Sombor. There we will be ready to serve the people of Serbia. The main ministry we will take part in is relational. A lot of young adults are not all that open to talking about Christianity and God until they feel ‘safe’ with a person. So, basically we will just be living our life and God’s love out while interacting with those around us. This may look like bible studies, music, sports, coffee, games, or anything else really.

Sombor is some 40miles west from Subotica, Serbia.
Has aprox. 45000 people. Economy is very very poor. It used to be cultural and economical center of area but has fallen back steadily in last 15 years.
Sombor has highest drug use rate among youth and second highest suicide rate in Serbia. Lot of people are depressed because they don’t have sense of hope for good future.
Most young people want to leave city and not just once we heard a comment, people asking us “Why you moved to this lost city, when everybody wants to leave?!?”
