So back in January we had this conference thing called Awakening in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We had a lot of teachings and opportunities to pray and pour into those around us. While there I was reminded of God’s character.

God has sometimes been attributed with similarities of a lion. Lions are quite powerful and typically feared. In the same sense we should fear God. This fear is not exactly being afraid, but more of an awestruck fear. The second similarity is that their characters will not change. This applies moreso to God than lions. God always keeps His promises, He never has and never will change His mind, and He is always loving and just. Lions are similar, but in some cases people will try and train them. This can work, but if something in their environment were to set them off they will usually revert back to their original characteristics where they should be feared.

Basically this just reiterates God’s awesomeness and our inability to fathom everything that he does. While we fear Him we don’t need to be fearful of Him because He wants all of us to know Him.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Currently we are in Mokhotlong, Lesotho.  It is gorgeous here and the people and ministry we are working with, Harvester’s Ministries are great!
