However awkward it may be to post a blog all about me, I’m doing it. This month my teammates are writing blogs for each other to share with the world what we appreciate in each person. This week my teammate Carly wrote about me… so here is her guest post.
“Meet Ashley!
Ashley and I have been on the same team since month 5, Nepal!
Ashley is someone that you can be serious with & goofy with. She is kind and loving, she cares about people, she’s intentional (especially with the people we meet during ministry), she may say that children aren’t her forte, but don’t believe her, because she is actually really great with them! I’ve seen her grow in so many ways over the past few months. She takes care of our team and I call her our team Mom. Her love for the Lord is so evident in her life, spending time with Jesus is a non-negotiable in her life. She continually wakes up early in order to start her day off in the presence of the Lord. She is wise, she loves to share about what the Lord is teaching her. She’s not afraid to tell you the hard things, she will be real, she will tell you the hard things that you need to hear even if it’s hard for her. She shares her story, I have seen her step up in different situations. She shares what she has gone through, what the Lord taught her through it all. She also is vulnerable in sharing what she thinks the Lord is calling her to even when she may not want to. She also is a great cook, especially when she makes barbecue chicken! Ashley is genuine. She sees the needs of the people around her. She is encouraging, over these months together I have received notes placed on my bed from her. She’s not afraid to step out and be bold, to speak when no one else wants to, to step up when no one else will. Ashley is a 10/10 friend, she’s also on fire for the Lord and there’s nothing more important than that. She’s obedient, to whatever the Lord is calling her to, she is open and ready to say yes. She’s someone that you can trust and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t trust easily. She is joy, she makes me laugh all the time, especially with her dad jokes! She is a 10/10 woman of God and I am blessed to have her on my team!“ by Cary Moniz
