Before I left for the race, I shared a large list of prayer requests and want to keep those of you who are praying updated. Please take a minute to read how God answered prayer last month and check out the short list of things to add this month.

Answered Prayers

pre-launch

  1. I got over my cold by the time we left for Colombia.
  2. I didn’t forget to pack anything.
  3. I had safe travel days.
  4. Saying goodbye was hard but I did have peace.

Launch

  1. I slept well.
  2. The sessions really challenged me spiritually.
  3. We grew as a team and came up with goals together.

Colombia

  1. We didn’t have any travel complications.
  2. My belongings have been secure.
  3. I have been able to make coffee every day.
  4. Regarding my food allergies- I have either been able to eat what is served or have been given something different as a substitution. I’ve even learned how to explain my food allergies and ask if foods contain the bothersome ingredients in Spanish.
  5. Except for once having a reaction to something I ate that contained a food allergen, I have not been sick or injured.
  6. I did not get lice despite working with children on multiple occasions that had them.
  7. I have been able to start every day in quiet time with Jesus.
  8. I have grown in boldness in sharing the gospel.
  9. My team has grown together in love and community.
  10. I am growing in intimacy with the Lord.

 

 

Additional Prayer Requests for Ecuador

In addition to my general prayer request list please pray for the following:

  1. Acclimating to the high elevation in Quito.
  2. Opportunities for time together as a team to bond and grow.
  3. Smooth transition from living and ministering together as a squad to just our teams.
  4. Adjusting to new living conditions and ministry expectations.
