Month 5/Swaziland

Ministry – I worked at a preschool in the morning and helped redo the decorations in the room. We also sometimes read them stories, sang songs, and assisted in other various ways. I also served my squad this month by budgeting, grocery shopping and creating our meal plan.
Living Conditions – We stayed at the Swaziland base. Half our squad was tenting, and half had room inside (I had a bunk bed!) We had consistent running water (praise God!), we cooked most of our meals, we washed our laundry by hand, had electricity and wi-fi for when we were working, used local transportation and walked a lot.

Highlights – full sabbath by myself, serving with my new team, movie nights, making better relationships with people on my squad, celebrating a lot of birthdays on the squad, team talent show
Lowlights – getting burnt out
Friends Made – Morgan, Bongani, Jonathan, Treasure, and Cindy (the teachers we worked with), cKesha
Lessons Learned – it’s a whole lot easier to serve people when you’re serving from a place of love & fullness
