PSA – Don’t worry guys, I’m not going to talk about College Basketball on this post.
I want to take a quick moment to update you guys on how all things World Race-related are coming along!
First, I’d like to talk about some things Jesus is doing in my life through the opportunity of going on the World Race. I currently work for Lifetime Fitness, and I have worked here on and off since August of 2013. This has given me the chance to meet a lot of people and get to know them pretty well too. Each day I seem to tell at least one more person about the World Race and I keep getting the BEST feedback. It’s like Jesus is speaking right through them affirming any worries I have about people’s thoughts when it comes to the World Race. Side note – I’m working on caring about other peoples opinions but let’s be real. That’s a journey that will take longer than a day.
I’m also trying to be more intentional about my time with Jesus through reading the Word, Reading Christian books in general, and setting aside time for prayer. I even asked my dad if he wanted to do a bible study with me this Summer. I’m pretty pumped for that!
Second, I’d like to update you guys on MY BIRTHDAY coming up!!! Next Saturday (the day before Easter) I will be turning 25 YEARS OLD! I would never have guessed when I was 21, 22 or even 23 that I would be going off on this adventure now. Since my birthday is coming up and a lot of you have been asking about gear I decided to put together a wish list of the gear I will need for the race. Last, I want to update you all on fundraising. I HAVE HIT MY FIRST GOAL! This is huge and I am so thankful to be over 1/3 to my total goal. But with that said I still have over $12,000 to go. But I have a lot of great fundraising ideas in mind & in the works!!! The next one I will be rolling out will be posted on my Birthday, March 31st!! I think a lot of you will like it!
