I came to Starbucks here at a mall in the middle of Bangkok, Thailand, to find some space to process and spend time with the Lord before I join with C Squad in their 3rd month of ministry. Not even a chapter into reading my bible, I found my eyes welling up with tears thinking about the panic happening around the world regarding coronavirus. I am not writing this to instill more fear but to be a voice in the middle of all the panic and remind you – God is still here. If you are feeling fear, or stress, or anxiety, or anything else, I urge you to fix your eyes & heart on scripture today. Here is what my heart had been meditating on –
Psalm 91 (NIV) **Please join my squad and I praying this scripture aloud every day at 8 am and 8 pm (central time zone)** Whoever dwells in the Shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence will cover you with His feathers, And under his wings, you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, Not the arrow that flies by day, Nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, Not the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, Ten thousand at your right hand, But it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” And you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; They will lift you up in their hands, So that you will not strike your foot against a stone you will tread on the lion and the cobra; You will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, Because they trust in you. Lamentations 3:22-24 (ESV) But this I call to mind, And therefore I have hope: THE STEADFAST LOVE OF THE LORD NEVER CEASES his mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I will hope in him.” Hebrews 10:23 (ESV) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who is promised is faithful. Hebrews 13:8 (ESV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Revelation 21:4-5 (NIV) He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” John 16:33 (NIV) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Acts 17:24-28 (NIV) The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. I hope these scriptures encourage & uplift you and bring you peace. These are the songs I have been listening to on repeat. The Blessing Breathe King of my Heart Stand in Your Love Waymaker I love you all. Please, please, please reach out if you need prayer.
