So I decided to do a Q&A blog post about my experiences and countries on the World Race. I got a few questions so I’ll also answer a few frequently asked questions as well.

1. What has been your favorite country to visit so far and why?

So my favorite country I have visited so far on the race has been Thailand hands down. I love the country for it’s people, its culture, its hospitality towards foreigners. While it is a Buddhist country and they are currently under a king that doesn’t have the country’s best interest at heart, I have so much hope for this country and that God will reveal himself in big ways!

2. What has been your least favorite country and why?

Oh goodness! Each country had it’s ups and downs but the down won out on the blessed country of Cambodia. There was just so much sadness and poverty in Cambodia that it made my heart cry out. There was an aur of depression and sadness that hung over the city, but with a resilience that is unexpected. This country I also have hope for but the sadness was really hard to handle.

3. Do you think people are happier or sadder in America than the countries I’ve visited?

This is a really good question I was asked and it really made me think. I’ve asked my teammates and squad mates about this question and came up with that each country has it’s happy and sad moments. Cambodia and Colombia has a lot of poverty and sadness that surrounds the country, but Albania has a air of depression. Thailand has a sense of sexual immortality and Ecuador has a damgerous aura. But each country has people that neutralize that effect completely. So it depends on the people who are able to overcome the feeling and bring light and joy to light the shadowed places the country is mired in. America I believe is the same way. We have more of a prideful and self seeking air that hangs over America but like in each country we have people who negate this darkness. So all in all I feel that it depends on each individual person’sview of happiness and sadness.

4. What was your favorite experience so far on the race/the worst experience?

I’ll be honest the best experience was my parents coming all the way to Cambodia to see me and tell me how much they’ve seen me grow since starting the race. I can’t say I’ve had an worst experience but the most embarrassing experience so far was either either smacking the heck out of head in front of a pack of boys and them having a 5 minute laughing fit or peeing my pants in Thailand.

5. Craziest thing I have eaten?

I have eaten a giant worm, a tarantula, pig intestines, a duck embryo, and a scorpion!!!

If you want me to answer anymore questions about my race and experiences please comment on my blog post and I’ll get to them as soon as I can! Be creative and don’t be shy! God bless you!!!!
