So you may be wondering, who is Ashley traveling all over the world with? Well I have around 40 lovely squad mates but within my squad there are six incredible human beings that I get to spend day in and day out with. Each team that was placed together on this squad was prayed over and hand picked by God. I have no doubt that the God above hand picked each of us wildflowers and placed us together for a reason and wow am I so grateful to call these gals family not only for these next few months but for the rest of my life. Haley, what a gem. We’ve had the privilege of having Haley as our alumni team leader for the past two months and hate to see her leave us here in the next few days. This girl has such a heart for the Lord and through that has shown us how to love others and live in a life of service to others. She’s helped create a spirit of unity within our group and has shown us that an atmosphere of vulnerability, even though hard at times, can bring forth so much freedom and growth not only within our team but within ourselves. Having done the race before and being accustomed to how things go she took all of us newbs in and showed us so much patience and grace throughout these past two months. She’s a lover of all things pineapples, she enjoys cookies with peanut butter, and she has a boyfriend named Kevin (hehe). World, meet Haley Wubs.
Tayler, the queen of quirkiness and our new official team leader!! Oh the joy and laughter that she adds to the group. This girl, she lights up a room with her presence and makes anyone and everyone feel welcomed with her compassion for those around her. Her heart for the Lord is so evident in how confident she walks and through her words that she shares. She never lets anyone go unheard or unnoticed and never fails to encourage those around her. She can kill a jar of peanut butter, she shares my love for food, she enjoys dancing around like a maniac, and she’s creative in every possible way. She’s the raddest and most genuine person around! World, meet Tayler McMullen.
Megan, quite possibly one of the sweetest human beings on the planet. Though she seems shy and is quiet at times, don’t let her fool you, she’s actually crazy and sporadic like us all. Her love for the Word of God is so evident and she loves to share her knowledge with those around her. Her growth in Christ over these few months is so encouraging and her willingness to step into that growth and embrace it is such a beautiful picture. Her love for art and her ability to worship through that is so fascinating to watch. She shares her snacks with me, shares her personal space, draws me pretty pictures, and laughs at my awkward moments. World, meet Megan Becker.
Court, known for her silliness and her overflowing kindness. This girl would give you the shirt off her back, no questions asked. She’s the team treasurer, which means she handles all of the money which consists of taking care of the cost for our groceries, transportation, and our living situation for the month. This girl literally takes care of us and makes sure that we’re provided for throughout the month. She ROCKS at what she does and boy are we grateful for her! She’s so wise and allows the Holy Spirit to speak through her when speaking to others. She has so much knowledge when it comes to the Bible and loves to share it during our bible study team time, allowing us to see her compassion for the Word of God while teaching us new things. She loves eating cream cheese and crackers, is a straight up baller, and loves cheesy jokes. World, meet Courtney Steele.
Blaire, what a phenomenal human being to call a friend. This girl has such a heart of gold and has such a glowing energy that affects others in such a positive way. Her compassion for others shows, not only to those she knows, but even to strangers we come across. Her obedience to the Father and what He asks of her is constant and so encouraging. Her strive for freedom in the blood of Christ is persistent and she always chooses the path of growth, rather than settling for a path of comfortability. She brings such a great energy to our group and brings so much laughter to us all. She eats pretzels with gummy worms, has the greatest snacks of all, and has such a contagious laugh. World, meet Blaire Baker.
Bekah, what a genuine and sweet soul. This girl blows me away with how intentional she is with each person in our ministry that we come across. She strives to make relationships that our more than surface level and loves those around her so passionately. One of her greatest passions is working with children and seeing her interact with them is one of my absolute favorite things to watch. She loves and cares for them on a deeper level and goes above and beyond to make them happy, whatever that may be. She strives to love us in the best possible way and never fails to check up on each and every one of us, always caring about how we are truly feeling. She shares her cornflakes with us, gives the greatest hugs, and has such a sweet smile. World, meet Bekah Minnette.

Each one of us bring such a unique and important aspect to the group. I couldn’t imagine the race without any of these lovely faces. These ladies have seen me in the toughest of times, comforted me in moments of extreme vulnerability, and showed me what the grace of the Lord looks like. Each one of these ladies are beautifully crafted and made in the image of the Father above. They were each planted and gardened by the one above, allowing them to bloom into the exceedingly beautiful creations they are today.
