He is like the stars.
He is always there.
He transcends time.
He is the light in the darkest of nights.
My hope to hold on to.
There are more than a million reasons to love him,
As many reasons to love as there are stars in the sky.
Yet, he doesn’t have even a single reason to love you.
He doesn’t need one.
He just does.
He is constant.
He is consistent.
He is infinite.
He is always there.
Even when the clouds hide it
Even when the situation clouds the way you see,
He is still there.
This is why faith is in the unseen.
You have to trust and believe even when you can’t see it.
The stars have always been my favorite thing in creation because they remind me of so many characteristics that Jesus has. They are beautiful. They are my light in the darkness. No matter how dark, there is always some small glimmer of hope to hold on to.
As I sat in worship the other night during awakening, I laid on the ground looking at the starts, and for every star I saw I named a reason for why I love God. As I got through like 25 he stopped me and said, ” I don’t have a single reason to love you. I don’t need one. I just do.” He died for me knowing I would still mess up. He held my sin for me on the cross before I even committed them. He loves me no matter who I am or what I do. There is nothing more incredible or fulfilling than this love. He has given me endless reasons to love him, yet I still soemtimes walk away from it due to my own sinful nature. However, i don’t give him even a single reason to love me, yet he never stops nor walks away.
He is my strength. My hope to hold on to. My light in the darkness.
He is my everything.
