A little bit ago I got the idea to begin creating ‘teammate appreciation posts’ as a way to love my team, but also let everyone back home get to know them a little bit better. Along with that, I wanted to send out a special shout out to all the Mommas of these fine 5 ladies I get to do life with during this season (and no doubt beyond). I finally decided to simply put it all in a blog. So, without further ado, I present to you: W*O*H*C Tribe
~ Meghan
Meghan has been my #1 since, well, day #1. She was the first person I met at training camp and learned that we were teammates. She’s got a crazy wild love for everyone. Every single person around her will either A) Become her friend, B) become friends with the Lord, or C) All of the above (it’s typically C). Meghan has the biggest heart in the entire world, something I look up to and strive to be as good of an example at in my own life. She’s always accepting of others and looking for ways to improve so she can shine as brightly as Jesus does. She’s a wild one, but I love her.
(These were non-alcoholic drinks, don’t worry)
~ Catherine
Catherine (our team leader) constantly makes me laugh, even if for the most random of things. She’s smart, wise, goofy, but also so caring and so kind. She always makes sure to check in on you (even before she became TL) and see what’s the tea. She’s the one I can count on for advice and insight, a good cackle, but also just to sit down and chat about anything. She’s fun & so full of life, W*O*H*C just wouldn’t be the same without her!
~ Danielle
Dan has the hugest heart for serving every single person around her. She’ll always go out of her way to see if there’s any job (big or small) to be doing. I love our Bible talks and how I can throw any idea at her and not worry if it’s too crazy – she’s down for it. She welcomes you in just as you are, exactly how Jesus would do (and does). She’s such a spunky gal with energy to take on anything that comes her way. I’ve loved getting to watch and see as the Lord has shaped her these past months spent together. Dan is the man, for anything, always.
~ Carrie Grace
CG is the greatest example I’ve ever seen of Matthew 19:14. She loves ALLLLL the little children. When I think of Carrie Grace, I think of the little Swazi baby we nicknamed Queso, and how she built such an adorable friendship with a little baby boy that just needed some love. There’s been a Queso everywhere we’ve been so far, whether she sees them for 3 days or 3 months, she always finds one. She’s got such a heart (and spirit of patience) for Gods littlest of ones, and makes them feel loved in whatever way possible. She’s loyal to the end, and always has such a creative perspective for anything you bring to her. If you find you a Carrie Grace – you’ve found a gal who’ll stick with you through it all, no matter what.
~ Jordan
She’s bold, lemme tell you! Jordan surprises me seriously every single day with the courage, strength, and passion God has instilled within her. She’s not afraid to hold you accountable and make sure you grow in what the Lord is wanting you to grow in (we allllll need a Jordan around). Jordan will always, ALWAYS direct you back to God, no matter how simple or extreme the problem you face. It’s so clearly evident to see her desire for the Lord and His greater plans, and she strives to bring that same thing to everyone around her. She’s got the weirdest, most contagious laugh, but also the warmest & sweetest soul around (she’ll also roast you if you question her tactics, specifically why she didn’t bring a pillow on a 9 month missions trip, but that’s we’ve since grown from that situation).
~ Bry
Bry is the funniest person I’ve ever met in my entire 18 years of life. She hands down will make you at least crack a smile, if not die laughing, in every encounter you have together. I love our one-on-ones that turn into some sort of tea session about the most random and unimportant things. And even though she’s technically one of our squad leaders, we still count her as part of W*O*H*C Tribe, because she’s just as worry of His calling as the rest of us, and without her our team just would not be the same. She’s got wisdom and insight for miles, and her spirit is constantly overflowing with joy and love for her ladies she gets to pour into on the Race. You’re such a turd Bryanna Kay Veith, but my favoritest of turds, and in the bestest way possible.

~ W*O*H*C Tribe
Just a group of gals. A group of gals who love the Lord with all their hearts, and all their souls, and all their minds, and all their strength. A group of gals who support each other, lift each other up, call each other out, and complement our weaknesses in order to build His Kingdom. Thank you God for these 5 sisters (and shout out to the Moms for having such rad kids).
