You are not overlooked. You’re greeted with an abundance of joy and celebration, you are welcomed . You matter. You tip the scale – just a little – closer and closer. Your crinkled edges and worn physique contain value none the less, a value holding so much more to me beyond a single dollar bill. You are seen, counted, loved, cherished, and held so so preciously. You were created, earned, gifted, and designed for a purpose, one that wasn’t always known to all, but always known to one. You’ve been placed exactly where you were intended to be.
Strange, right? It’s just a dollar after all, why even go writing a whole post about one? There’s not much it can do. Maybe get you a soda, but on it’s own that’s about it. On its own it’s hardly anything at all. On its own it’s so paled in value compared to, say, a $20. Even a $10.
But put together – the story is changed. Like, big game changer. HUGE.
To be able to say that over $5,000 has been raised so far for this, that’s nothing short of amazing. Without that $20, $10, or $1 you thought was too insignificant to make much change – trust me, it does. Because without that $1, I’d be that much short. I’d be actively seeking and pursuing it. I’d need it, just as much as I need any other dollar amount to help me reach my funding goal. Just like I need so many people to support this trip, and just like I’ve been so fortunate to be blessed with. Because when people can give what the Lord calls them to give, no matter the amount, it adds up. When every $1 is paired with another, He is providing. Though what you have may seem small, you never know how He’s using that to make a difference. Specifically for a girl just trying to go serve around the world, experience the wonderous creation we live in (beyond Indiana), and let others know just how Great He is. 🙂
So, to every $1, $20, $50, $0.75, and all in between, I’d be that much short without you. To every person, family, and dear friend who’s traveling through the thick and thin with me in this stressful, amazing adventure, I wouldn’t be here without you. The value that fancy S says your dollar is worth – it is so much more to me. So much more. Every part and portion is another puzzle piece fitting its way into a much larger picture. One that is missing so many pieces, but making its way towards completion through all those who’ve come alongside me in support. I’d never be able to do it without you. I’d never be able to say it enough, but to everyone – thank you. This is for you. I am wholeheartedly grateful and blessed to be where I am. I’m so excited to be able to share the process, journey, and incredible adventure ahead, and I can’t wait to show you where that $1 takes me.
