“He [Jesus] is familiar with our sufferings. The longer I walk with Christ-it’s the humanity of Christ that brings more and more comfort to my soul. There’s a term in music called sympathetic resonance. If you had 2 pianos on stage and you were to hit middle C on one of the pianos, that note would resound just ever so slightly in the other piano, the same note would respond to it.

May I remind you when you go through difficult times in this life and when your heart is broken, and you’re weeping and you hurt, KNOW that there is a MAN in Heaven who’s instrument is like yours-and when you feel that hurt, there is a resonance that comes from Him. He IS our sympathetic resonance. What an incredible picture! He is fully human and second He is fully God.”

That is SUCH a beautiful picture to me. It’s from a sermon by a man named David Platt from the Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL during a Secret Church (which you can find more info about on their webpage, www.brookhills.org, as to what “Secret Church” is). I have been listening to his sermons lately and have been continually blown away. This particular sermon is about the Cross of Christ and I would try to describe it…but trying to describe it in a blog does not do it justice.   Anyway I am continually in awe when I think of the Blood of Christ. And how PRECIOUS is the blood.  This particular quote hit me and has stuck with me since I heard it.  That Jesus IS in heaven and just as he says Jesus is our sympathetic resonance. I suppose since that is sort of what I’m learning I thought I would share.

This month has thus far been amazing just to sit and listen to God. In Szekesfehervar we found amazing contacts and half of our team has stayed back with them for this week and 7 of us moved on to a town called Gyor. Thus far, in our time in this city, we haven’t found near as many leads with contacts as we did in the other town. So at first it was a bit frustrating, everything seemed to be a dead end, but yesterday morning it was raining VERY hard and we decided to stay under cover (and warm and dry) until it calmed down. Our team (which is a mix between Goodness gracious and beautiful feet) ended up being alone together and talking about Kingdom dreams, what we have been reading in the bible and/or books, and just what Gods doing in each of our lives. So when we’re not searching up ministries online, or praying, or ATLing; It really has been amazing to soak Him up and just delight in Him. And once again thank you each for your prayers and I will try and keep you updated as we stay on the move! J
