I am sorry that the first blog from Romania was short and sloppy.
But please. Let me tell you of Romania.
I am in love. We have only been here for like 5days. I cannot, in the English language, describe to you how I feel at the present. Our pastor contact is AMAZING. He is in love with Jesus and all He wants is to see Kingdom come here in Romania. I think there is still some animosity between the Hungarians and Romanians here. and I know the pastor has expressed to the leaders how much He wants God to move in everyone. He has started a church that includes both Romanians and Hungarians because there is still such a separation between the 2 nationalities. I am so excited to continue out the month here and I just pray we continue to empty ourselves and be filled with Christ and the Holy Spirit. It really is the continual renewing of the mind. And I really do pray that we continue to seek Him and lay down everything that we might find “comfortable” or “normal.”
Some info: We will be working in the gypsy villages, in the city center, and in other villages around town. We’ve now done about 4 days of ministry, yesterday we went to the gypsy village and I LOVED it. everyone there is amazing. We performed a drama for the kids, we sang songs, we prayed for them, we talked to them. We developed relationship with them. And God really did prepare the way so I’m even more excited because we will return next week and the next. Another really cool thing is that we got to see the answer to the past world racers prayers. Just a bit of information about where we’re at; we’re staying in a HOUSE in a town called Stejeris and the June 2009 squad was here literally right before us. I believe they left August 30 and we arrived September 1. They have left us so much information about where to go in town, how much stuff is, AND they left us food. FOOD!! You guys are amazing. I hope you ALL are reading this blog. Please know you have blessed us tremendously and we are praying for you. But while they were here in Romania they went to a lady’s house in a nearby village and she was scheduled to have a c-section but I think it would have been really complicated and the team just prayed for her and she said she felt the head of the baby move into the right position and she got to have her naturally. SOOOO. We got to go see the baby and she named her sunshine. SUNSHINE. It was so beautiful to see her. And we stood in her front yard and sang to Jesus and prayed over a man whose heart we could sense was burdened. Really. It was one of my most favorite days thus far on the race.
Thanks so much for reading my blogs. I hope everyone back home is doing well and I can’t wait to hear about how God is moving back home as well!
