is. Sofia, Bulgaria. and it is gorgeous.
I am sad to leave Budapest but excited for Turkey. We’re in Sofia for a debrief on what we need to know before we get into Turkey. But I want to let you all know a little bit more about what has happened during our stay in Budapest.
The Long family, as you all know, was SO amazing to us. I am sad to leave them as well, but their ministry in Budapest is much needed. There are many skewed views of Christianity in the city. A lot of the Christians believe that its ok to have sex before marriage, they feel that don’t have to believe in the whole bible, they also feel that the bible is outdated and there is just a lot of spiritual oppression. One of the best ways to evangelize in Hungary is through long term relationships and love and the Long’s are definitely praying and working to bring light into the city, to their church, and to the Christians there. During our last few days a girl in their church accepted Christ and it was BEAUTIFUL to see that and to pray for her and see the fruits of their labor. We all became really close to her and she has actually ministered more to me than I ever did to her. Her name is Zsofi and yes. she’s awesome. I can’t really do the situation justice by describing it in a blog, but the angels definitely rejoiced in Heaven that day and I’m pretty sure we felt that rejoicement. God is still working in Hungary and prayers are much needed there, to break down walls, and for the realization that the bible is JUST as prevelant today as it was when it was written, and for the Long family. That they continue living for Christ and finding hope in Him in a pretty despairing nation. Thank you for your prayers in that.
So now we have moved onto Sofia and today we did a prayer walk / ATL through the city and its amazing to see Jesus in each person, in each city, in each country. And know that God IS working.
This is a really short blog but I just wanted to let you all know that your prayers and support are appreciated. even miles away. So we arrived safely to our hostel in Sofia and November 1 we leave for Turkey! It will be an amazing month and I know we are all excited to see what God is doing and what God is going to do.
Miss and love you all!
