I can’t believe its December 18, 2009 already. ONE week until Christmas!!! I CANNOT wait! We definitely made 2 Christmas trees out of foam paper and green poster board, a fireplace COMPLETE with stockings, Christmas lights out of paper, and a wreath that Bambi made out of pine needles and berries. (the lady we babysit for gave us money specifically to use on Christmas decorations. Yes. I love her.) Basically it’s like Christmas morning in our place of stay. And I’m oh so excited! Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year.
And because it is December 18, I have something I would like to say…
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
I’m so excited that our blog day fell on your anniversary. Oh my goodness. Oh how I love you mom and dad and congratulations on 32 years of marriage! How wonderful. God has blessed me tremendously with such wonderful parents. I am so thankful. Thank you for being so wonderful and I can’t wait to talk to you both soon! I really hope it’s an especially lovely day and I hope work goes well for both of you (or maybe you can take the day off!). I miss you guys terribly but I love you guys so much!!
Speaking of love, I think that the thing that is growing inside of me this month IS God’s love (after all it is the season of giving, love, and to be jolly). But seriously, my love for everything is just growing and I feel like I could explode. I know that it’s because Jesus lives inside of me and that I’m realizing things and experiencing things I’ve never experienced. And it is ABSOLUTLEY beautiful!
And there is definitely a lot I’m learning. Jesus IS everywhere. I see Him every day through the amazing people on my team, smelling the lovely roses that line the streets here (and Bethany Blankenship…I picked up that habit from you and I LOVE it), in the fact that Jesus actually walked in these places, in the lady that we babysit for (and I use the word babysit for lack of a better word…it’s more us just hanging out with her kids and doing anything we can to help her out and her blessing the SOCKS off of us in every single thing she does and every single word she says), and in everything. But yes the lady that we work with… is so full of wisdom and her walk with the Lord is so inspiring and encouraging to each of us, that it truly is a blessing to wake up each morning and see her and her family. AH! God IS good!
Ps. Family-I have sent home a package with some little treasures. I almost feel ashamed and sad to let you know before you actually get it but it’s supposed to be there in 3ish days (yes I was shocked It was that quick) so I didn’t want you to be alarmed and I wanted you guys to know it was coming so you could expect it. So I am guessing it MIGHT get there on the 20th or the 21st. I mailed it on the 16th…but it was almost closing time…so anyway just be on the look out. I had written instructions BUT left them at home when I mailed it. so its just a box full of stuff…but no information on what goes to who. Merry Christmas and surprise! I love you guys! AND i hope you guys get this in time because I totally changed my mind and you should open whenever you get it. because there’s a lot of stuff in there…and you can pass it out accordingly. So yeah feel free to open it (there are a lot of postcards in it…and dad–the rock is in the pocket of my brown shorts..and the rest i will tell you guys on Christmas day!) LOVE YOU!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all!! I hope it’s the best holiday season yet! I miss you all and love you!
