Ha. Those were the exact words to my mom on her birthday, September 15. At least she knew I was sick prior. I love you mom!! And I am a little better now…

So much has happened since I last wrote a blog.

Being sick in a foreign country isn’t the most fun I’ve ever had. Myself and 2 teammates (Ashley and Lindsay) have been sick for almost a week now. My birthday was the 14th and thanks be to Jesus because on that day I felt well enough to get internet time to skype my family and friends so that was wonderful for my bday and my teammates were wonderful. However we have talked about having a redemption birthday party when we’re not on the toilet the whole time. But yeah enough of that. That is largely why I haven’t blogged in a while. Being sick does make you miss home a wee bit, but I know God is using it and there is a reason. So for my mom’s birthday we ending up being taken to the hospital on Tuesday and got hooked to IV’s. HA! So I definitely called mom and told her. I’ll make it up to you next year mom.   But the hospital helped a little bit to get fluids back in my system. And I am feeling a bit better…still not at all 100%. But on a fun note here are some hilarious pictures from the hospital:

All three of us before seeing the Doc.

me telling mom happy birthday. with an iV. sweetness.

This month has flown by. We have had ups and downs but I truly love Romania. The time here has really been amazing, we have worked with 2 contacts…both of whom have been WONDERFUL to work with and serve God with.   It really has been an amazing experience. Working with the gypsy children was one of my highlights. Just their ability to love and letting us love them. They probably ministered more to us than we to them. It has been a really good month. We are leaving our ministry here in Stejeris, Romania on Monday morning, September 21! We are leaving to go to The Awakening which will be held in Brasov. It is a World Race event where all of the teams on the field, alumni, and staff get together and worship Jesus. I am definitely looking forward to meeting other racers and to be united with our whole squad!

Thank you all for praying for all of us. When you get a chance to pray or if you want to pray but don’t know what to pray for…I have a HUGE prayer request: HEALTH! That our stomachs would get adjusted to changing foods so frequently, and we would be able to digest things normally and that our immune systems would only get stronger to help fight off any infections.

ALSO. crazy news.

We just found out we will NOT be going to Egypt. We actually don’t know where we’ll be going. This week our team is trying to individually seek the Lord and pray about where to go and we’ll be praying as a team for some guidance about where to go next month. As of yet we have NO idea. Most of us got different things, a few countries were the same but for the most part it was pretty much all over. It will be somewhere in Eastern Europe and that is all we know. Also, we are pretty sure that we will not be going to Jordan either but possibly Turkey for the month of November (and turkey day woot!) and there’s a good chance we’ll be in Israel for Christmas!!!! Which makes me ridiculously excited. So keep us in your prayers also as we really seek the Lord and try to listen to where He is calling us to go. I know He will let us know but just pray our own voices do not get in the way.

I say this each time but each time I mean it more than the time before. Thank you for your prayers. I feel them and see the results of them. It is WONDERFUL. I would not be here if weren’t for all of you praying and supporting me. I won’t ever be able to thank you all enough.Thank you all for praying for all of us. Also pray for rain here in Romania becuase it hasn’t rained in a very long time and it desparately needs to. The villages are running out of water…and its crazy to experience becuase in the States you don’t really ever experience droughts in the sense that literally if rain doesn’t come…things don’t work. like flushing the toilet, showers, washing clothes, dishes (which is amazing that we even have those things!), but just pray for rain for the people here in Romania.  Thank you all again.

much much love from romania. to you all.
