Hi friends and family.
An update from Dublin Ireland! We have made it safely, and have already started out the race with lack of sleep from the flight and being hungry. Both conditions make for a fun day walking around the city. J But it was actually really fun and it did give me comfort that God will sustain and fulfill our needs. And be sure to check their updates as well. Thankfully they remembered their cameras on our “excursion” to Dublin today. We had a scavenger hunt type race today around the city…to find different landmarks and information about them to eating traditional Irish stew and taking a picture with each person on our team at a different location wearing a leprechaun hat. So it was a tiring, but fun day.
So tonight we have FREE wi-fi!!! We are camping out somewhere in Dublin and get internet. It’s lovely. So let me take this time to thank you SOOO much for your prayers. Everyone on the K squad made it to Ireland with themselves and their bags. One guy had is pack lost but it was sent with the J squad who flew out later than we did from JFK. There is one girl on the J squad who doesn’t have her pack but out of the 80 of us I think that she is the only one. So pray the airlines find it and get it to her ASAP.
But really thank you for praying and thank you for the words of encouragement. I have a feeling they will be much needed come later in the race.
One last note, Ireland is beautiful. The people are wonderful. And we haven’t even really been out of the city. It’s 17 degrees Celsius here with a breeze and cloudy. Perfect Ireland weather. Anyway we start our second day of training camp tomorrow. So hopefully I’ll be able to post again sometime soon.
