Part of our morning session was called Prove it! This was a game that we played to get all the kids rilled up in order to use up a tiny bit of their energy that they seem to have stocked up somewhere inside! Boys vs. Girls.. what else could get them more excited? So here’s how it works:
Say the questions is “How many seconds can you hold your breathe under water?”
So the girls start off with something low like 3 seconds and then the boys have to counteract with something a little higher, and you go back and forth until either the girls or boys call PROVE IT! In which the chosen team then has to, prove it. If the chosen team follows through with the bet then they get a point, but if they can’t do it, the other team gets the point.
The girls beat the boys, obviously.
Here is a picture of one of our teen’s holding her breathe underwater for 52.6 seconds beating the challenge of 43!
So tonight after we made DELICIOUS mexican food for dinner we had some left over cheese.. since we don’t really have any containers here at the hostel to put left over food in, as we were thinking of what to do with it Nathan started rolling it into a cheese ball. Everyone was yelling at him to eat it and he took a tiny little bite, but that wasn’t good enough for us. What ended up happening was the girls stepped up and dominated! A little game of PROVE IT happened in our very own hostel kitchen, gathering random onlookers who are also staying here. The bets started off with an eighth of the cheese ball ending in seven eighths of the cheese ball. Brave enough to accept this challenge was Anmari! She ate that cheeseball like nobodys business! Girls clean house.. what, what?! YET AGAIN! We remain undefeated.
Are you up to the challenge?
